Thought For The Day

A stretched out hand who looks not like you but sees the good in you is a friend-an on-time blessing indeed.

It's very hard to go through the holidays without thinking about times that make them special or reminiscing about those things or people that have shared precious moments in your life. Often times we think of blessings coming from a familiar place. However, the ones that aren't ordinary have a lasting impression. You can't fake them, re-script them or do a replay. Why, they're so authentic and hard to falsely capture the details.

Many of you may know what I'm talking about. For those who do, let's together do something special in honor of the memory. If you've never been acquainted with such, I hope you can experience that kind of goodness in your life at least once.

The Day After Christmas

Christmas day was great. I didn't go to bed until the wee hours again and needless to say I was wrapping gifts at 4:30 that morning as the children rose ready to open their presents. It probably would be useless to most to continue wrapping when everyone would open them minutes after but I did so anyway. I like to do it and wrapping gifts is as much a part of the Christmas festivities as decorating the tree. And just as Christmas day was fun so was the day after.  We followed up Christmas dinner with a fish fry and a game of spades. After Christmas Practical Suggestion

I'm really not an expert in this area but, after going over a few records for a family member, I quickly understand the importance of not just tossing your bank statements around and not viewing them. I saw where they were paying for subscriptions almost three times the normal amount. Having said that, many of you will get those bank statements detailing all the great gifts you have given. But you may want to double check them.  Make sure you haven't been billed twice for the same thing or billed for something you didn't purchase at all. With theft at an all time high, it's not unlikely for this to happen. Remember to keep tabs of your records. Lately I've been taking note of information regarding fraud and identity theft and it seems that the holiday season is a peak time for these unfortunate situations to take place. Thoughts for today

Whatever you endeavor to do, let it be yours. Never let anyone try and project their thoughts as yours, their feelings, or their motives. No, let every man reason for himself seeking God to find their perspective. We should never try to attach our needs to someone else except we commune together. And never ask a man, especially a woman to carry the burden for anothers errors lest they be in agreement. This is why I find the precision of these words to be exact.
